Consumers can conserve the electricity during peak hours by following these steps:

  • Always turn off lights, equipment, and other electrical appliances while they are not in use.
  • Instead of conventional electric bulbs, use florescent and mercury vapor lamps or LED lights.
  • Use the appropriate capacitor size for fans and motors, as well as inductive loading.
